So whats next after being confirmed…

So now that you have been confirmed, you may be wondering,” What do I do now?”

I am not sure we can give you an exact answer… but WAVES can do our best to help point you in the right direction.

If you read the post before this one, you will see that there are many ways to stay involved in WAVES Youth Ministry as well as in our parish. Being newly confirmed young adults, try and find a way to live faith filled lives everyday with the knowledge you have gained studying about your faith. Think back to your 2nd year retreat… have you applied your God given talents?

Perhaps there is a ministry at Holy Spirit Church, a friend, a family member, a foundation, or charity that can use your gifts. Just like the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 says- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Becoming a Confirmation Leader is a large responsibility that requires dedication, but with that dedication comes tremendous satisfaction. Helping build the future of the church by working with the youth is an unforgettable experience. This is what WAVES was founded upon.

It has been a long standing tradition here at Holy Spirit Church, where young adults become WAVES Leaders. These Leaders go on to share their faith through teaching as well as continually learning new skills (both spiritually and socially).

This picture was taken at the recent practice rehearsal. It is a ONLY a glimpse of the past, future and present sea of WAVES Leaders that have given their time, shared their faith, and created a family that will last generations, here at Holy Spirit Church.

Congratulations to the 2010 Confirmation class of Holy Spirit Church. Always remember to keep your hearts and minds open for whatever God calls you to do through your faith.
